about us
Established in 2020, The Audio Story Company is a pioneering creative organisation who produce high-quality immersive experiences that fuse sound, music, voice and physical performance to create vibrant new ways of telling transformative stories.
We work with young people, families, underserved communities and artists to empower and embolden their engagement with the arts and to facilitate space for personal and communal development.
We are committed to reimagining the theatrical boundaries between art and the people and communities it serves.

We are forward thinkers.

We believe art and theatrical experience should be accessible.

We believe in sustainable artistic and business practice.
How It Began
We'd love to tell you that this company started as some magical brainwave, or a piece of genius thought... but we can't. Like all great stories, we found ourselves in the middle of it without really knowing how we got there. This story, however, is based on love and necessity. The love for our nieces, and the necessity of Lockdown. Remember Lockdown? With our nieces being homeschooled, we wanted to give them an activity which didn't involve looking at a screen. The very first Audio Story was born.

We never imagined that the concept would be so warmly welcomed, but they loved it. I don't mean the classic 'play with once and throw it away loved it', but the 'listen to it again and again, and ask for more, and get annoyed when you tell them you don't have any more, LOVED IT'. We had to make more... Sorry... we were told, in no uncertain terms by a fiery 3 year old, that we were making more.

So we did.

Our Values
Active Participation
We discourage passive consumption. As artists we want to actively engage our audiences.
Encourage Mindfulness
We want our audiences to gain a deeper awareness of the world around them and to be actively present in every moment.
Stimulate Imagination
The ability to imagine pervades our entire existence. It influences everything we do, think and create. It leads to elaborate theories, dreams and inventions in our personal and professional capacities.

Fun Fact:
My one love outside of the creative arts is climbing mountains. In 2022 I climbed Mera Peak in the Himalayas and in 2018 I climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa. I've also eaten more cheesecake than most other human beings.
